cnib - (Canadian National Institute for the Blind)
Agency Description & Goal:The CNIB serves as the primary provider of vision loss support services in Canada and has been recognized as one of the leading service organizations in the world. One in four Canadians will need the services of the cnib during their lifetime, with a new client walking throught cnib's doors every 10 minutes of every working day. The cnib Hastings & Prince Edward Counties district offers the tools and rehabilitation services necessary for the blind, visually impaired and deaf-blind individuals to lead active and independent lives. The cnib provides service at no cost to over 1050 clients and is commited to educating our communities in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties on the important issues related to vision care and vision loss.
